Seth Williams
Seth Williams entered our Opportunity Now Vocational Rehabilitation Program as a quiet 20-year-old autistic young man who only provided short answers when spoken to. At Opportunity Now, we know a barrier is just another opportunity for success. Over the course of 15-months, his employment specialist, Jibreel, worked closely with Seth and his family to enhance this young man’s social skills and prepare him for the workforce.
Today, Seth is a hard-working, task oriented young man who is ready to talk about his job and his dog, Buddy. Seth’s employers rave about his work ethic and say they “can always count on Seth. If you give him a list or show him once, he will get the job done.” Seth looks up to his big brother, Gabriel, who helps him out a lot. Seth takes on new challenges well; and is now enrolled in college.
Even though his case is officially closed with Opportunity Now, we still provide follow-up services to check in on his ongoing progress. Not because we must, but because we care.
